Do I need Hostfully?
Yes. HostCloser is built for agencies that run on Hostfully. It reads your homes, rooms, amenities, rates and calendars from your Hostfully account with an API key, and keeps them in sync every hour.
Will the AI make up prices or facts?
No. Prices come only from a live check of your Hostfully calendar, and the chat shows them on a price card. Facts about a home come from Hostfully and your own descriptions. When the answer is not there, the assistant says so and offers to get your team.
Does it work with my website?
Anywhere you can add one line of code: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, a custom site, and the header of a Hostfully booking site. If your site uses Hostfully’s booking box, links from the chat and emails open it with the guest’s dates already filled in.
Who sends the follow-up emails?
Your agency does, from your own domain, with your logo and colours. Each email re-checks the live price and availability before it goes out, includes an unsubscribe link and your mailing address, and the series stops as soon as the guest books.
Can my team take over a chat?
Any time. When a guest asks for a person, your team gets an email (and a Slack message if you like), the dashboard chimes, and you reply right in the conversation. Hand it back to the assistant when you are done.
What does HostCloser change in my Hostfully account?
Nothing, unless you switch it on. By default HostCloser only reads. Creating leads in Hostfully is a separate switch that stays off until you turn it on.
What happens after the 14 days?
You choose to subscribe or not. There is no card to cancel: if you do not subscribe, the chat and emails pause. Pricing is per bookable home a month: $7 up to 30 homes, $6 31 to 100 homes, $5 over 100 homes, with a $99 minimum.
Do guests know they are talking to AI?
Yes. The chat says so up front, every conversation is recorded with that notice, and a guest can ask for a person at any point.
